The Grahams (USA)

Special Guests
All Our Exes Live In Texas
Marcus Blacke

The Grahams are the creative union of lifelong romantic partners Alyssa and Doug Graham. They combine soulful bluegrass with hints of earthy Americana, adding colors from traditional folk and country blues, into an infectious blend of storytelling that results in songs of love, loss, yearning, and the view from rural American roads less traveled.

Their album "Riverman's Daughter," is a winning culmination of The Grahams' long journey into the heart of America, the inspiration they derived from immersion into classic American music, and the natural and honest talent they have for bringing forth a modern musical idiom steeped in tradition.

Performing as part of their Australian Tour at Katoomba RSL, they will also be joined by All Our Exes Live in Texas and Marcas Blacke on the night.

All Our Exes Live in Texas is a fantasy draft of Sydney musical talent - Elana Stone, Katie Wighton, Hannah Crofts & Georgia Mooney - all beautiful performers in their own right, here combining in four-part folk heaven.

On mandolin, ukulele, accordion and guitar, All Our Exes deliver tunes that are clearly crafted with taste, care and skill in the context of a spontaneous, playful and utterly charming live show. With four songwriters and four unique voices, All Our Exes make music that is refreshingly different, drawing influence from traditional four-part harmony to create a brand new type of modern folk.

They tour Australia this October to celebrate the release of their brand new single Tell Me, from their forthcoming debut album.

“..the Sydney outfit are tight in performance and witty in banter...with just the right mix of raw talent and irreverent performance, they are a joy to watch.” -

“..stirring folk loveliness” - Triple J

Marcus Blacke and his songs are birthed from life its experiences and many meanderings. His debut album is complete, having worked alongside local Aria award winning producer Govinda Doyle.

Marcus Blacke is well known for his approach to songwriting. Intricately plucked southern style folk guitar weaved within layers of hand crafted storyteller wisdom, sprinkled with the human condition.

Marcus Blacke recieved a four star review on Triple J Unearthed:
"I love the driving, tallest man on earth vibe to this track."
Nicole Cheek, triple j

'Do Tell' Album Launch Tour (Oz Release date 03/10/14)
Special Guests
"Chris Gillespie Duo" (Blue Mountains)

Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson are ‘pleased as punch’ to announce the Australian release of DO TELL, their “stunning new album” (FATEA) out on Fri Oct 3 through Planet MGM, alongside news of an Australian tour and festival appearances.

“Cara has a stunning voice & when unleashed in its full seductive glory it’s goosebumps time. As for Hat, his slide playing is nothing short of world class, tasteful & his grainy dusty vocals, the perfect foil for Cara’s. These guys can stomp as if it’s Saturday night in Clarksdale.” – ACOUSTIC MAG

Now happily refreshed, rested and primed after their European mission, Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson are delighted to finally be able to share DO TELL and perform live for their many fans at home.

DO TELL is out Oct 3 via Planet MGM.
Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson will be touring from November.

“Together they create the juiciest slice of downhome country blues to come out or Australia” - HIFI + MAGAZINE

“Highly Recommended” - THE ROCKER

Chris Gillespie is an independent artist from the Blue Mountains of NSW. His songs are beautiful, bursting with observational yearning. “A fingerpickin’, harmonica playing troubadour...

You can expect beautiful instrumentation coupled with meaningful and thought provoking words and “...harmonies [that] are downright gorgeous” (Tom Ballard Triple J).

The music is very Australian, highly original and delivered with refreshing honesty and integrity.
Chris Gillespie enjoyed a very busy and abundantly successful 2012 with the release of his debut album ‘Unnatural Light’. The title track spent months in the top 20 of the Triple J Unearthed charts. The song was used as the soundtrack to a short film, which was aired on Channel 9. Chris also performed live on Foxtel and was the opening act for Triple J favourite and Australian Idol finalist Lisa Mitchell.

Chris will be accompanied on the night by Cameron Henderson (on bass) Cameron is also the guitar player from Dubious Blues Trio and Vanessa Raspa and the Zombie Cats.

Australian Tour
Special Guests
"The Prannies" (Blue Mountains)

“Chris Henry is the premiere Monroe-style mandolinist of his generation” - International Bluegrass Music Association.

Chris Henry grew up in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, USA, the son of veteran bluegrass musicians, Red and Murphy Henry. He moved to Nashville about ten years ago, and has been making quite a name for himself as one of the most highly regarded and sought-after young musicians on the American bluegrass scene. He received an International Bluegrass Music Association nomination for Song of the Year in 2011 for writing "Walking West to Memphis." He was in Shawn Camp’s band, and in the last few years he has been playing with his own band, The Hardcore Grass, and with the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band.

Chris is touring with his own four-piece band, The Hardcore Grass, consisting of himself on mandolin and vocals, Mike Garris (guitar and vocals) Corrina Logston (fiddle and vocals) and Beth Lawrence (bass and vocals).

As well as being a talented guitarist, Mike Garris is also a highly respected bass-player, and has recorded and toured extensively as a long-time member of the Del McCoury Band and David Grisman’s Bluegrass Experience. Fiddler, singer-songwriter, Corrina Logston, is an exciting new talent in bluegrass today, widely known for her lively and versatile fiddling, and tenor singing rooted in traditional bluegrass music. She has performed with the likes of Del McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, Bobby Osborne, Alison Krauss, and Charlie Louvin, and many others. Beth Lawrence has been living in the South for 10 years, and playing bass and singing with national bluegrass bands, including the Mark Newton Band, Ron Block Band, Jerry Salley Band, and The Daughters of Bluegrass.

Chris Henry & The Hardcore Grass is a must-see band for all lovers of roots-based music!

Blue Mountains locals ‘The Prannies’ will be opening up the night. Mike Kerin, virtuoso fiddler (Slim Dusty’s favourite), sultry singer and all-round musical genius leads this eclectic band of misfits with diverse backgrounds in rock, Irish, bluegrass, old timey and everything in between. Tinker, long time Mountains dweller, plays fiery accordion and sings with husky vocals.  Ged Corben holds the band together with his powerhouse rhythm guitar and delicate slide and mandolin work. Ged toured extensively as lead guitarist with the Lime Spiders. Underpinning the Prannies’ lush and powerful sound is Michael Vidale on semi acoustic bass.

The band play an eclectic uptempo mix of Celtic & American folk, with a touch of Western Swing & Roots thrown in.  They will be featuring material from Mike & Tinker’s new album “ For Good Measure”, & Mike’s solo album “ The Dining Room Sessions”.

BOBBY FOX: The Star of the Hit Musical JERSEY BOYS

The fantastic Mr Fox – 2 Shows in 1!
The Fantastic Mr Fox Album Live & The Hits from the Musical Jersey Boys with full band.

Bobby Fox was hand picked by Mr Frankie Valli himself to play the front man of ‘The 4 Seasons’ in the smash hit musical JERSEY BOYS. He went on to perform the role over 750 times and won many awards. Bob Gaudio described him as “a real star”.

The 1960’s changed music forever. In Britain, a subculture of young people refused to conform to the rules of music. The norm was the enemy. They called themselves “Mods.” At the same time, across the Atlantic ocean, in New Jersey a small group of hard working guys named “The 4 Seasons” were about to change the face of pop.

Bobby Fox is here to give you the very BEST of both sides of those 60’s Atlantic waves…

On his new debut album with Warner Music, ‘The Fantastic Mr Fox’, Bobby pulls out the best of his 60’s mod 45’s from his personal collection. The album pays tribute to Elvis, Nat King Cole, The Coasters, Dean Martin and features a duet with none other than the stunning Miranda Kerr.

Now, combining the greatest hits from Jersey Boys and his stellar debut album, featuring You’re The Boss, I Wanna Be Your Lover, The Night, Chance for Romance, and a couple of other surprises...

The Fantastic Mr Fox could charm the birds out of the trees but that’s another story. How high can he sing? Well how long is a piece of string? He’s gonna zig when you zag, he’s gonna hip when you hop and he has no opinion of where your advertising dollar should be spent. More than anything else The Fox has a good ear for a righteous tune when it comes a knocking and he knows that it’s always the right time – night or not – for the right tune with the right charm.
He’s the new old school.
